Blog Post for week of Dec 11

So this post has to be long and reviewing the semester so far.
I only have three minutes, so I guess I better get cracking.

When I joined the course (on last minute basis, hahah) I figured we'd be doing the sort of thing we're doing now, but only for a few weeks. My mind imagined a sort of programming grandeur, where we'd make our own programs and even apps for phones, etc.
I don't know if we'll get onto that sort of thing later on, but I'm not saying I'm disappointed so far.
If anything, taking a long time in all these basic programming sequences has helped me realize I have to pay attention to detail and that what I write is certainly not infallible.
I've learned a lot doing these basics, but I certainly hope we'll get on to a big and really interesting project soon....or else I honestly will be a bit disappointed in the course (and perhaps myself more, hehe)

In any case, even if we don't get onto that sort of thing, I'll try and take advanced computer programming! So far the class is really fun and I like the atmosphere (and lose deadlines). It's really stress free, and being able to control things at my every whim is fun. Nobody can deny that.

Blog post for week of Dec 4

Still working on Jeroo.
I got stuck on one of the challenges, and it's lasted almost 3 days! I feel as though I need to take a new approach to it, but I'll feel like a failure for not making this work...

why must dignity be so important?!?!?!?

Blog post for week of November 13

All we've been doing lately is Jeroo, which I must admit, I don't find as fun as scratch.
Plus at least Scratch worked most of the time. There are moments where my coding in Jeroo is flawless, and it still freaks out on me and decides not to do anything.
The next day I open up that same code? BAM IT WORKS.

I also understand that Jeroo is supposed to be teaching us about programming in Python, etc, but at the moment all it seems we're doing is coding for virtual kangaroos to not kill themselves (which I admit, I cause this a lot)
I really want to see how this will relate to coding outside the...game? I'm not really sure as to exactly what Jeroo is.
